Nha Trang sells the sea, so a rough day collapses the whole plan: the four-island tour is cancelled, diving is cancelled, the cable car may stop for wind. The windy months are October to December. This page lists what does not depend on the weather at all, and the most useful item is one that even locals forget.

There is a bowling alley inside a mall on Trần Phú, and almost no travel write-up mentions it. Power Bowl is on the third floor of number 20 Trần Phú — the building signed Nha Trang Center, and recorded on paper as TTTM Hoàn Cầu. On that same floor are a video arcade and a 5D cinema. The building is walkable from most hotels in town, so rain does not mean going far.

There is a second alley at Vincom Plaza Trần Phú, 78-80 Trần Phú, called SpeedBowl. Vincom keeps a page for it, so it certainly exists, but I could not confirm which floor — that page refuses access. The two buildings are about a kilometre apart on the same street, so if one is full, walk to the other.

With children, Jump Park is the clearest answer, at 200 Thống Nhất. It is the city's only trampoline park, over two thousand square metres, and beyond the trampolines there is a ball pit for small children, an indoor climbing wall and a Ninja Warrior-style obstacle course for older ones. It sits about a kilometre and a half west of the backpacker quarter, so budget a taxi.

Those three are what this page adds. The rest of a wet day the site already covers: the Oceanographic Institute with its whale skeleton, the cinemas — two of which sit inside the same buildings as the bowling above, a mud bath if you would rather be in hot water than merely indoors, and a foot massage if the group just wants to sit down.

Three things to know first. Bowling is charged per game rather than per hour, so four people playing two games pay twice what the board says. Shoe hire is usually separate. And all three are enclosed and air-conditioned — a virtue in the rain, but it also means they are busiest on exactly the days it rains, so go early or ring ahead.

    The easiest alley to reach, and the thing this site's own shopping-centre page lists the building for while saying nothing about what is inside. Two first-party sources agree: the Power Bowl chain gives “3rd floor, TTTM Hoàn Cầu Nha Trang, 20 Trần Phú, Phường Nha Trang” on its own list of centres, and Nha Trang Center's own site lists “bowling, video games, 5D cinema” at the same address. Both already use the new ward name, which most directories have not caught up with.

    The second alley, about a kilometre from the first on the same street, so this is the fallback when that one is full. Vincom keeps a page for SpeedBowl in this building, so it certainly exists, but that page returns 403 and I could not confirm the floor — ask at the mall's information desk. A LOTTE Cinema is in the same building, so a wet afternoon takes two things.

About a kilometre and a half west of the backpacker quarter, so take a taxi. No opening hours are given: the only source I found says 05:30, which is almost certainly wrong for a trampoline park, so ring rather than trust it.
