Ocean Waves sits at Km11 on Nguyen Tat Thanh in Cam Lam. The Bai Dai strip, the same road as Radisson Blu, Fusion and The Westin. It has private beach access, which no hotel in Nha Trang city can offer.

The room list is short: Deluxe from about 2.7 million, Premium Sea View from 3.3, and Family Beachfront from 5.3 a night. Rooms take either one 1.8-metre bed or two of 1.2, sleeping two to four. Three categories is easier to choose from than the ten some resorts list.

Facilities: two outdoor pools, the all-day Pearl restaurant (buffet or à la carte, Vietnamese and Western), a pool bar, a gym, the Garden Spa, and a children's playground. That last is worth noting. Dedicated space for children is rarer along Bai Dai than you would expect.

The trade is the standing Bai Dai one: close to Cam Ranh airport, far from Nha Trang, so you eat on site nearly every meal and dinner in town is a round trip. Price a meal package against à la carte before booking.

Other places to stay in Bãi Dài and Cam Ranh: Radisson Blu Resort, Cam Ranh, Fusion Resort Cam Ranh, The Westin Resort & Spa Cam Ranh. The beach for this whole strip is Bãi Dài; on the way back to the city, Từ Vân pagoda.

Yes, private access to the Bai Dai sand. That is the main difference from a Nha Trang city hotel, where the beach out front is public.

Yes. There is a dedicated playground and a Family Beachfront category sleeping four, neither of which every Bai Dai resort has.

How far is Nha Trang city?

Far. This is Bai Dai, near Cam Ranh airport rather than the city. Dinner in town is a round trip, so most guests eat on site.
