Wave Bar (Хон Че)

Wave Bar is on Hon Tre island, so the view is one you simply can't get from the mainland: the whole of Nha Trang bay, the city in the distance, and the mountains behind it. Sunset is when it peaks.

Being on the island means factoring in the crossing: cable car or boat, and the last ride back. This is something you slot into the afternoon of a day you're already on Hon Tre, not a separate trip.

The direction is what separates this from anywhere in the city: from Hon Tre you look west, back at Nha Trang and the hills behind it, so the sun goes down behind the ridge inside your frame. From the mainland you cannot get that angle, because the city faces east into the sea.

The real constraint is getting back. Published listings put the Hon Tre cable car running until around 22:30, so staying through sunset normally still works, but hours shift with the season and with events, so confirm at the cable-car desk on your way over rather than trusting that figure. And because of the crossing, this belongs to the afternoon of a day already spent on Hon Tre, not to a trip of its own.
