The three-day plan plus a day properly out of town, which is the only thing a fourth day is good for. Doc Let is 50 km north, an hour and a quarter each way, and Ninh Hoa, where nem nướng comes from, is on the way back.

Long Son Pagoda and the white Buddha
Climb the 152 steps up Trai Thuy hill for the whole city. Go early in the block. The steps are fully exposed. Stop at the Stone Church on the way back; it's a few minutes away.

Roll your own nem nướng for dinner, then walk over to Sailing Club and take a seat on the sand. Before 21:00 it's still calm; after that it turns into a loud beach club. Pick the evening you want.

If snorkelling at Hòn Mun is not enough, seven dive centres in the city sell a guided try-dive one-to-one, no certificate needed. Five of the seven are in the tourist quarter, so you can book the day before. Ask three things on the phone: divers per instructor, whether anyone speaks your language, and whether the marine-park fee is included.
