Overview

Ninh Van Bay is in Ninh Hoa district, north of Nha Trang, and there's no road in — you arrive by boat across the bay, about twenty minutes. That difficulty of access is exactly what the resort sells: a near-entirely private bay against the cliffs, with nothing around it.

To be clear: this is not a base for sightseeing in Nha Trang. Getting to the city takes about an hour and a half counting boat and car. You choose it when the point of the trip is to stay inside the resort.

The figure to know before booking: it is about an hour and a half into central Nha Trang counting boat and road, and there is no land access to the resort at all. That means every meal is on site, and any change of plan depends on a boat.

On price: room rates in Nha Trang swing hard with the domestic calendar — Tet, the 30 April–1 May holiday and the June-to-August school break are the dearest and fill earliest, while October to December is wet and cheapest. Figures on this page are a guide, not a quoted rate. This is the most expensive and most cut-off place on the site. If you want that privacy but still want the option of town, Amiana on the north shore, 5–7 km out, is far closer.

Strong points

  • A private bay accessible only by boat
  • Villas set against the cliffs, most with their own pool
  • The highest level of privacy in the Nha Trang region
  • Reef right in front of the bay

Practical tips

  • Central Nha Trang is about an hour and a half away — this is not a sightseeing base
  • Everything must be bought on site, at resort prices. Bring what you need
  • Confirm the transfer boat times before you fly in
