Overview

Toothache is one of the few medical problems that can appear mid-holiday and will not wait until you are home while also not being an emergency. Sitting between the two, it is the kind of thing nobody plans for. This page answers that question: in Nha Trang, where to go, when, and what to ask before you sit down.

First, tell the two apart. A tooth broken in an accident, a swollen face, a fever with the pain — that is a job for a hospital rather than a small clinic, and the ambulance number is 115. A lost filling, a wisdom tooth that has started, an abscess to be cleaned out — that is dentistry, and the city has several places that do it.

If you remember one name, make it Việt Hàn at 56-58-60 Quang Trung. It is the closest to the visitor area — walkable from most hotels in town — and its own site publishes hours almost no private clinic in Vietnam keeps: Monday to Saturday 08:00–18:30 straight through, no midday break, and Sunday 08:00–17:00. For a visitor, “no midday break” is worth more than anything else on this page, because your free hours tend to fall in exactly the eleven-to-two window.

Santé also opens seven days, but on the usual Vietnamese rhythm: its own site and OpenStreetMap give identical hours — Monday to Saturday 08:00–12:00 and 14:00–18:00, Sunday closing an hour earlier in the afternoon. That means a two-hour midday break, and arriving at noon finds the door shut. It also sits in VCN Phước Hải to the south, well out of the visitor area — this is a clinic for residents. Worth knowing if you are staying south, or if Việt Hàn is full.

One detail no other page mentions: on Quang Trung, about a hundred metres from Việt Hàn, a dental clinic signs itself in Russian — “Стоматология True Dental”. Nha Trang has enough Russian visitors that a dentist puts Russian above English on the sign, and if Russian is your easiest language that is worth knowing. It has no card here because I could not find a street number for it.

Watch out

Do not trust online dental price lists, including a clinic's own. The price depends on whether it is a one-surface filling or three, a simple extraction or an impacted wisdom tooth, a single-root canal or a triple — differences of tens of times over, and nobody knows which you are until the X-ray. That is why this page prints no figure. What to do instead: ask for a quote after the X-ray and before anything starts, and ask whether it includes the film, the anaesthetic and the follow-up.

One last thing for the flight home: do not fly within 24 hours of an extraction if you can avoid it. Cabin pressure changes can set a fresh socket off, and bleeding at altitude leaves you a long way from the chair you just left. If the flight cannot move, tell the dentist before the work rather than after.

    The closest of the four to the visitor area — 56-58-60 Quang Trung, walkable from most hotels in town. Address, hotline and hours all come from the clinic's own site: Monday to Saturday 08:00–18:30, Sunday 08:00–17:00, no midday break. Worth recording because the second source disagrees flatly: OpenStreetMap gives 07:00–11:30 and 14:00–17:00, with a break and a close an hour and a half earlier. Where two sources differ this site takes the business's own word, but ring ahead if you are arriving near closing.

    In the VCN Phước Hải area to the south, away from the visitor quarter and serving residents first. It is here because it is the only one in the group whose hours agree across two independent sources — the clinic's own site and OpenStreetMap both give Monday to Saturday 08:00–12:00 and 14:00–18:00, with Sunday an hour shorter in the afternoon. Opening on Sunday at all is worth knowing, since most here do not.

    On Thống Nhất, west of the centre. A small thing that says something about data quality: this clinic's own site already uses the new ward name “P. Tây Nha Trang”, while most directories still print the ward abolished on 1 July 2025. The address and hotline come from there. It publishes no clear hours, so ring first.

    99 Hoàng Hoa Thám, in the central street grid, about seven hundred metres from Việt Hàn. The address comes from OpenStreetMap. No phone number is given: the OSM record carries one beginning 0167, a prefix retired in the 2018 renumbering — publishing a dead number to someone in pain is worse than publishing none.

Addresses come from each shop's own Google Maps listing, and the Open map button opens that shop's pin rather than running a search. 18 shops on the site have no listing we could confirm, so they have no button: the address lookup returned a different business, and a button that points at the wrong place is worse than none. A Google score appears only when Maps carries both the score and the number of reviews — a bare average cannot be weighed, so this page leaves it out. Street-food stalls change hours and close without telling anyone; call ahead if you are travelling across town.

If there is facial swelling, a fever, or a tooth broken in an impact: go to a hospital, because that may be a spreading infection or trauma rather than a job for the chair.

Which dentists open at the weekend?

Two of them, and both publish it on their own sites. Việt Hàn opens Sunday 08:00–17:00, and Monday to Saturday runs straight through 08:00–18:30 with no midday break. Santé opens Sunday 08:00–12:00 and 14:00–17:00. Đức An and Happy Tooth publish no clear weekend hours, so ring first rather than turn up.

How much does dental work cost in Nha Trang?
