Overview
This page does three things: it tells you where, when and what number. Plus a fourth that matters most to a foreign visitor: who speaks a language you understand. It does not rank hospitals and gives no medical advice. What separates hospitals in a crisis is emergency capability, not paperwork or waiting times. The national ambulance number is 115, and it works from any phone, including one with no SIM.
In an emergency, two places in the city come up first. Vinmec Nha Trang at 42A Trần Phú is on the beachfront road itself, which makes it the closest of these to the central hotels, and it is a private hospital with an international wing. Tâm Trí General Hospital at 57-59 Cao Thắng is also private, in the south of the city. On the public side, Khánh Hoà Provincial General Hospital at 19 Yersin is the tertiary hospital, the one with the heaviest specialities and also the busiest. Hospital 22-12 at 34/4 Nguyễn Thiện Thuật sits inside the tourist quarter, walkable from most hotels there.
If it is not an emergency, meaning a fever, a stomach upset, a small accident or paperwork for an insurer, a clinic is faster and cheaper than a hospital. Viet Han International General Clinic at 36 Phan Chu Trinh sees the most foreign patients of these. One note about the word "international" on a Vietnamese sign: it is a trading name, not an accreditation, so infer nothing about standards from it. Ask the two questions you actually need answered: is there an English-speaking doctor, and will they issue paperwork your insurer accepts.
For small things a pharmacy is enough, and Vietnamese pharmacies sell more than you might expect. Cold and fever medicine, rehydration salts, seasickness tablets, dressings, sunscreen, insect-bite cream: over the counter, no prescription. One pharmacy in the tourist quarter is built for foreign customers, Pharmacy Nha Trang 01 at 72 Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai. Its sign is printed in four languages: Vietnamese, Korean (약국), Russian (Аптека) and Chinese (药店). Korean and Russian goods sit on the shelves. Open 06:00 to 02:00, which makes it the only place on this page still open when you are most likely to need it. The Pharmacity chain at 59 Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai is close by, and being a chain, everything is barcoded and priced on the shelf.
Four things to sort out in advance; they take five minutes. One, save 115 and your hotel's number. Two, photograph your passport and travel-insurance card and keep them on your phone. A hospital will ask for documents before anything else. Three, check whether your insurer settles directly. If not, you pay first and keep every receipt, pharmacy ones included. Four, if you take prescription medicine, bring the packaging. Brand names differ in Vietnam; active-ingredient names do not.

The province's infectious-diseases hospital, and the reason it is here fits in one word: dengue. Nha Trang has a season for it, and a high fever lasting a few days in this region is something to have tested rather than something to medicate and wait out. The hospital sits outside the city on đường 23/10 towards Diên Khánh, so it is not a place you drop into — going there is a decision. This address is the new one: the hospital itself announced a change of name and address from 1 July 2025 under the administrative reorganisation, noting that the buildings had not moved.

The provincial dermatology hospital, in the north of the city. It sounds like a residents' concern, but a beach holiday produces exactly the complaints it treats: bad sunburn, sun rash, seawater irritation, jellyfish stings, fungal infections after days in wet clothes. A general clinic handles the mild end; the stubborn end is what this place is for. No phone number is given: the one in circulation begins with the 058 area code retired in the 2017 renumbering, so it is almost certainly dead.
