Overview
There are two ways to get a car in Nha Trang, and the first is nearly always better: book through an app. Grab, Xanh SM and Be all operate here, all show the fare before you confirm, and that is precisely what makes them better. You know the price before you get in, rather than negotiating it with a stranger in a language you do not speak. The second way is a firm's hotline, or flagging one down, and it still matters: at peak times, late at night, or when your phone is dead.
The most useful thing to know about cars here now: two of the fleets are electric. Xanh SM is the large one with its own app, and Lavi is a local firm on đường 23/10 with the hotline 0258 6 282 282. Electric is not only an environmental point. On a long run like the airport, a quiet car with no petrol smell is a difference you feel, particularly if anyone gets carsick.
The traditional firms are still here and still work. Vinasun has an office at 27 Cao Bá Quát on 0258 3827272. HTX Nha Trang Taxi at 85B/A Trần Phú runs 0258 6 270 270. A number printed along the side of its cars, so seeing one is remembering it. Mai Linh operates too. What they share: ring the hotline and the car runs on the meter, and the meter is the most transparent thing available when you are not booking through an app.
A third kind is common here and often invisible to foreign visitors: the private-hire car. Plain white plates, no roof sign, no meter; you message on Zalo or ring, agree a price for the whole trip, and the driver comes to you. Taxi Nha Trang 24/7 is exactly that: private cars rather than a liveried fleet. It suits long runs: the airport, Bãi Dài, Dốc Lết, and usually beats a metered taxi on price; the trade is that you have to fix the price by agreement first.
Three things to do, and they head off nearly every dispute. One, book in an app when you can: a fare shown in advance leaves nothing to argue about. Two, if you are not using an app, agree a flat price before getting in, or ask for the meter; do not leave either vague until you arrive. Three, the airport road has a toll, ask whether it is included, because it is the commonest surprise. And if you are coming from the airport, that leg has its own page with all four options.

Đường 19/5 in Vĩnh Điềm Trung. Not a liveried taxi firm but a private-hire service, and so it looks: plain white cars on civilian plates, seven-seaters among them. It works differently from a taxi: message or ring ahead, agree a price for the whole trip, and the driver comes to you. Good for the airport run or for Dốc Lết and Bãi Dài; fix the price by agreement before you get in, because there is no meter.

3.7★ Google · 41 reviews27 Cao Bá Quát. The Khánh Hoà branch of the largest traditional taxi firm in the south. This page has no photograph of the office, and it does not borrow a fleet shot from elsewhere. The hotline works. Metered, and the one to fall back on when an app finds nothing.
Addresses come from each shop's own Google Maps listing, and the Open map button opens that shop's pin rather than running a search. 18 shops on the site have no listing we could confirm, so they have no button: the address lookup returned a different business, and a button that points at the wrong place is worse than none. A Google score appears only when Maps carries both the score and the number of reviews — a bare average cannot be weighed, so this page leaves it out. Street-food stalls change hours and close without telling anyone; call ahead if you are travelling across town.
