Overview
A week or more in Nha Trang and the question becomes where to train. Eight gyms, two public pools, and three figures worth carrying first: the earliest gym opens at 4:30 in the morning, a monthly membership sits around 260,000₫ on one gym's own board, and the nearest 50 m pool is about a kilometre from the 2/4 square.
For anyone on the Trần Phú strip the convenient one is California Fitness & Yoga on the fourth floor of Nha Trang Center, 20 Trần Phú. It is walkable from most beachfront hotels, and its difference is visible at once: the treadmills and climbers stand against the glass, so you run looking out at Trần Phú beach and Hòn Tre. The same floor holds an MMA cage and a matted yoga studio. It belongs to a national chain, so terms and prices follow chain policy rather than a board by the door.
For a serious room where the view does not matter, Spartan Fitness & Yoga at 124 Lê Hồng Phong is the most complete: an indoor sprint track, Rogue plates, two floors of machines, a separate yoga studio, open 05:30–21:00. Olympic Gym at 51 Lê Hồng Phong, a few hundred metres away, leans to free weights, with dumbbells up to 40 kg and a café attached. Thổ Gym at 01 Trần Quốc Toản is easy to remember for an odd reason: it sits directly above a car wash and detailing shop, the two signs sharing one frontage.
Two have something no other does. KingKong L.A Gym in the Hà Quang 2 estate states it on the frontage: a women-only gym, with one-to-one coaching and a rehab room inside. Almost every gym in the city is mixed, so it fills a real gap. Gym Hải Vy at 554 đường 23 Tháng 10 has its hours painted on the wall: 4:30 to 21:00 daily. That is the earliest opening on this page, for people who train before work.
Only one gym posts a price, and its board repays reading. Vietlife Fitness at 383 đường 23 Tháng 10 lists 260,000₫ a month, then three packages: three months 1,200,000₫ with one month free, six months 2,400,000₫ with three free, twelve months 4,800,000₫ with six free, plus a line saying only sign-ups of three months and above get a membership card. Do the arithmetic and the long packages are not cheaper than paying monthly: twelve plus six free works out near 267,000₫ a month, and the three-month deal at 300,000₫. That is one gym at one moment. Treat it as the bracket, and ask again when you arrive.
Nha Trang has two public 50 m pools, and they are nothing like a hotel's 12 m plunge. Yết Kiêu swimming centre at 10 Yersin is the most central, with lane ropes and numbered starting blocks. The tank is old, the paint flaking, the changing rooms plain, but it is the only place in town where you can swim proper lengths. Khong Quan pool is larger, with terraced seating and a swim school. Both mostly serve classes, so the hour when children finish is busy. The three mud-bath resorts, Tháp Bà, I-Resort and Galina, have pools too, but those are mineral pools inside a ticketed complex: see the spa section.
In the same family: badminton, pickleball and football pitches if you would rather play with others, and the hill walks to train outdoors.

4.6★ Google · 1,335 reviewsFourth floor of Nha Trang Center at 20 Trần Phú. It is the only gym walkable from the beachfront hotels, and its strength is immediately visible: treadmills and climbers along the glass, so you train looking out at Trần Phú beach and Hòn Tre. The same floor has an MMA cage, a spin room and a fully matted yoga studio. It is a national chain, so pricing follows chain policy rather than a board by the door. It keeps the mall's hours, so it does not run late.

4.8★ Google · 1,157 reviewsOpen 5:30 – 21:00124 Lê Hồng Phong, open 05:30–21:00. If you train seriously this is the most complete room here: an indoor sprint track, Rogue plates, two floors of machines, a separate yoga studio, a lounge with tables. About 1.5 km south of the centre behind a large glass frontage. Worth the trip if you are staying weeks and need the full range of machines and weights.

4.9★ Google · 71 reviewsOpen 5:30 – 21:00The Hà Quang 2 estate, open 05:30–21:00. It is the only one here advertising a women-only gym, alongside one-to-one coaching. Its own three-storey building: a pink-walled floor with squat racks and machines, a rehab room, a lounge, and a frontage that also reads gym – rehab – boxing. If you want somewhere that is not a mixed room, this is the address.

4.3★ Google · 231 reviews51 Lê Hồng Phong, a few hundred metres from Spartan. A free-weight room: dumbbells running to 40 kg, yellow machines, rubber flooring, and a covered outdoor area for when you want air. There is a café next door under the same ownership, useful while you wait. Maps publishes no phone number. Just turn up, it is on a main road.

Thổ Gym

4.9★ Google · 69 reviews01 Trần Quốc Toản, and Maps lists it as always open. If that holds, it is the only room here you could use at midnight, so ring to confirm before an odd hour. A big room with red machines, neon rope lighting across the ceiling and a juice and snack counter. Memorable for an oddity: it sits directly above a car wash and detailing shop, the two signs sharing one frontage. Find the car wash and look up.

Run the numbers and the long packages are not cheaper than paying monthly. Treat the board as indicative, and ask again when you arrive. A large room with purple and orange machines, a row of treadmills and a group-training area. In the evening the motorbikes are packed out front.

4.8★ Google · 16 reviewsOpen 4:30 – 21:00554 đường 23 Tháng 10 in Cầu Dứa. Open at 4:30 in the morning, and that figure is painted on the wall inside rather than taken from Maps. This is a neighbourhood gym, its sign reading "bodybuilding club — men and women", trading since 21 November 2017 by the banner outside. Enough machines, anatomy murals on the wall, nothing plush. But it is the earliest opening in the city, which suits training before work or before a boat.

4.4★ Google · 68 reviewsOpen 6:00 – 20:00The CT3 building in Vĩnh Điềm Trung, open 06:00–20:00. The gym sits inside an apartment complex, so it serves residents first and outsiders second: there is an outdoor pool on the podium level, a yoga room, a machine floor and children's classes. If you have rented in this complex it is the obvious choice. If not, ring first to ask whether non-residents can join.

Trung tâm bơi lặn Yết Kiêu
Open map →10 Yersin, Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa
3.5★ Google · 85 reviews10 Yersin. It is the most central 50 m pool, about a kilometre from the 2/4 square and walkable from many hotels. An outdoor tank with lane ropes and starting blocks numbered one to six, so you can swim real lengths rather than stand in water as at a hotel. Said plainly so you arrive with the right expectations: the tank is old, the paint is flaking, the canopy is steel-framed and the changing rooms are basic. It runs swim classes, so when the children finish every lane is full. Maps publishes no phone number.

Hồ bơi Không Quân
Open map →Old airfield area, Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa (Plus code 65PQ+2HR)
3.9★ Google · 58 reviewsOpen 6:00 – 20:00The old airfield area, open 06:00–20:00. A larger tank than Yết Kiêu, with terraced seating and a swim school, its sign reading "training and swimming lessons". A long lane-marked pool with clear water, and the late afternoon light across it is genuinely handsome. That is also the busiest hour, as the classes end. About 2 km from the centre. Maps publishes no phone number, so ask at the desk about single and monthly tickets.

Addresses come from each shop's own Google Maps listing, and the Open map button opens that shop's pin rather than running a search. 18 shops on the site have no listing we could confirm, so they have no button: the address lookup returned a different business, and a button that points at the wrong place is worse than none. A Google score appears only when Maps carries both the score and the number of reviews — a bare average cannot be weighed, so this page leaves it out. Street-food stalls change hours and close without telling anyone; call ahead if you are travelling across town.
Before you book
- California on the 4th floor of Nha Trang Center: treadmills facing the beach
- KingKong L.A advertises a women-only gym with one-to-one coaching
- Gym Hải Vy has its hours painted on the wall: 4:30 to 21:00 daily
- Two public 50 m pools with lane ropes, not a hotel plunge pool
Practical tips
- Ask about day and week passes: most only post monthly packages
- Do the arithmetic on long packages: at one gym they cost more per month
- For the public pools bring a swim cap; it is usually required
- A gym inside a mall keeps the building's hours and does not run late

California Fitness & Yoga on the fourth floor of Nha Trang Center at 20 Trần Phú. It is walkable from most beachfront hotels, with the cardio machines against the glass looking out at the beach and Hòn Tre.
Does Nha Trang have a public 50 m pool?
Two: Yết Kiêu swimming centre at 10 Yersin, the most central, and Khong Quan pool, larger and with terraced seating. The tanks are old and the facilities plain, but these are the only two places in the city where you can swim proper lengths.
