05:00–08:00 or after 17:00: an outdoor court is too hot in the middle of the day

Overview

Pickleball arrived in Nha Trang recently, and all nine courts here were built within about the last two years: the paint is still bright and the nets still tight. That cuts both ways: you will not be playing on a worn surface, but do not expect a long-established club with a settled fixture list either. Two of them do run their own tournaments: DSD held a championship at the end of December 2024, and K29 has a banner up for a spring 2026 event.

Hours are the first thing to read, because they say plainly how the game is played here: five of the nine open at 5 or 6 in the morning and run to 22:00–23:00. Nobody plays at midday. An outdoor court in Nha Trang is hot in every month of the year, so the real slots are 05:00–08:00 and 17:00–22:00. DSD and K29 stay open to 23:00, the latest here.

If it rains, or if you have to play in the middle of the day, there is exactly one answer: K29 Pickleball Club at 29 Thuỷ Xương is indoors: a tall steel-framed hall with the courts inside it, weather no object. The rest are outdoor courts under canopies or inside netting: DSD in the Thái Hưng estate, Vĩnh Thái on Võ Nguyên Giáp, Go Pickleball at Bầu Ông Giáo, and Ngọc Hội and TN Club on đường 23 Tháng 10.

One thing about location for anyone staying on the beach: eight of the nine sit west or south of the centre, 3–8 km from the tourist quarter, so you will be ordering a car. The only one walkable from the central cluster is the 20-8 Tennis & Pickleball courts at 75 Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai: the city's old tennis club, now with pickleball lines painted under a red steel canopy. If you are on Trần Phú and just want an hour's play, that is the one that costs nothing to reach.

None of them publishes a price, which makes calling first a requirement rather than a suggestion, both to ask the hourly rate and to hold a court, because the 17:00–20:00 weekday slot fills everywhere. Each court's number sits under its name in the list at the foot of the page. Some lend paddles and some do not, which is worth asking in the same call. Speedy Sport on Hương lộ Ngọc Hiệp has a racket shop on site.

In the same family: badminton courts: four of them sell pickleball too, and the two games share the same kind of hall; football pitches if you have a crowd; gyms and pools if you would rather train alone; and golf if you have a whole day.

  • DSD Pickleball Nha Trang

Street 94, Thai Hung estate, P. Nam Nha Trang (Vinh Thai former), Khanh Hoa

    4.8 Google · 43 reviewsOpen 5:00 – 23:00

In the Thái Hưng estate, open 05:00–23:00. The busiest cluster in the city and the one that runs its own competition: the DSD Pickleball Championship of 28–29 December 2024. Outdoor courts under a canopy inside netting, lit well enough for late play, sponsor banners all round. This is where to go if you want someone to play with: a busy court makes it easy to join a game.

  • Sân K29 Pickleball Club

    Open map

29 Thuy Xuong, western Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa

    5.0 Google · 20 reviewsOpen 5:00 – 23:00

29 Thuỷ Xương, open 05:00–23:00. The only indoor courts on this page: a tall steel-framed hall under a metal roof with the courts marked out inside, so rain or hard sun makes no difference. That makes it the first number to ring if the middle of the day is all you have. There are folding chairs for people waiting, and a banner for a spring 2026 tournament, so there is club life here and not just court hire.

  • Sân Tennis Pickleball 20-8

    Open map

75 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa

    3.9 Google · 36 reviews

75 Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai. The only courts walkable from the central hotels, and the longest-established: this is the city's 20-8 tennis club, now with pickleball lines under a row of red-framed canopies. Being an old tennis club it still runs tennis events: a Heineken Cup and a corporate tournament in 2024. Maps lists it as always open; ring first to find a slot that is pickleball rather than tennis.

Huong lo Ngoc Hiep, Lu Cam, western Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa

    4.6 Google · 75 reviews

Hương lộ Ngọc Hiệp in Lư Cấm. A sports complex rather than a single court: red outdoor pickleball courts, an indoor badminton hall, a racket shop on site and a skating area. If you need a paddle, strings or balls, this is the one address that solves it in the same trip. Maps lists it as always open.

  • Vĩnh Thái Pickleball

    Open map

Vo Nguyen Giap street, P. Nam Nha Trang (Vinh Thai former), Khanh Hoa

    4.5 Google · 17 reviewsOpen 6:00 – 22:00

Võ Nguyên Giáp in Vĩnh Thái, open 06:00–22:00. Outdoor courts under a long canopy with tall floodlights, and they hold competitions: a Vĩnh Thái pickleball tournament, with a winners' podium and a run of sponsor banners. It sits on a main road so it is easy to reach by car, and this district sees few visitors, so the evening slots are mostly locals.

  • Go Pickleball

02/01 Bau Ong Giao, western Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa

    5.0 Google · 13 reviewsOpen 6:00 – 22:00

02/01 Bầu Ông Giáo, open 06:00–22:00. A new cluster, opened with an in-house tournament. Outdoor courts inside high netting, artificial turf walkways, red plastic chairs for those waiting. It is in the same Bầu Ông Giáo area as the Thịnh Cầu Bè badminton hall, so if part of your group plays badminton the two are minutes apart.

  • Pickleball Ngọc Hội

    Open map

375 duong 23 Thang 10, Ngoc Hoi, western Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa

    Open 6:00 – 22:00

375 đường 23 Tháng 10 in Ngọc Hội, open 06:00–22:00. It is new and little known, so this page has no photograph of it: nothing could be confirmed as a picture of these courts. In exchange it is right on đường 23 Tháng 10 and easy to find, and it has courts free at hours when the bigger clusters do not. Ring first for the rate and what is open.

  • TN Pickleball Club

    Open map

1104 duong 23 Thang 10, western Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa (Isuzu Viet Hai)

    Open 5:00 – 22:00

1104 đường 23 Tháng 10, inside the Isuzu Việt Hải yard. The furthest on this page, about 8 km from the tourist quarter, and open from 5am. This page has no photograph of it. It is a court for people who live nearby; if you are in the centre the other seven are closer, and if you are out west this is the earliest opener.

  • Sân cầu lông Hưng Phú Phong Châu

    Open map

163 Phong Chau, southern Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa

    4.2 Google · 61 reviewsOpen 6:00 – 22:00

163 Phong Châu. Maps files this under badminton, and half the building is indeed badminton; the other half is orange pickleball courts with blue surrounds under a "HƯNG PHÚ PICKLEBALL CLUB" sign, all beneath one tall steel roof. It is the only place in the city where both games are played in the same building, so a group split between them can split on the spot rather than into two car rides. Part of the Hưng Phú chain, sharing the number 0948 082 021 with the Khúc Thừa Dụ site. Open 06:00–22:00. More on the badminton page.

Addresses come from each shop's own Google Maps listing, and the Open map button opens that shop's pin rather than running a search. 18 shops on the site have no listing we could confirm, so they have no button: the address lookup returned a different business, and a button that points at the wrong place is worse than none. A Google score appears only when Maps carries both the score and the number of reviews — a bare average cannot be weighed, so this page leaves it out. Street-food stalls change hours and close without telling anyone; call ahead if you are travelling across town.

Before you book

  • Five open at 5–6am and run to 22:00–23:00
  • K29 is indoors, playable in rain and at midday
  • The 20-8 courts at 75 Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai are walkable from the centre
  • None posts a price: ring the number under each to ask and to book

Practical tips

  • Book by phone, especially the 17:00–20:00 weekday slot
  • Ask in the same call whether they lend paddles and sell balls
  • Rain or hard sun: pick K29, the only indoor courts
  • Eight are 3–8 km out; book the return leg too

Frequently asked

What does a pickleball court cost an hour in Nha Trang?

None of the nine publishes a rate, and the price moves with the slot: early morning, evening and weekend all differ. This page puts each court's phone number under its name so you can ask the rate and book in one call.

Which court can I use in the rain?

K29 Pickleball Club at 29 Thuỷ Xương. Its courts are inside a steel-framed hall, so rain or sun makes no difference, and it is also the only one worth using in the middle of the day.

Is there a court near the tourist quarter?

One: the 20-8 Tennis & Pickleball courts at 75 Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai, walkable from the central hotels. The other eight are 3–8 km out to the west and south.
