Overview
This page answers two questions that face opposite ways. The first belongs to anyone staying longer than a holiday: can you learn Vietnamese in Nha Trang. The second belongs to anyone moving here: where do the children learn English. They lead to quite different places, and most lists online run the two together.
For Vietnamese there is one clear option: the Centre of Vietnamese Studies at Tôn Đức Thắng University, taught at its Khánh Hoà campus at 22 Nguyễn Đình Chiểu. The programme follows the six-level Vietnamese proficiency framework for foreigners, from elementary to advanced. A course runs four to eight weeks, flexible to need, mornings or afternoons Monday to Friday, and ends with a certificate of completion.
The thing to weigh before enrolling is where it is: the campus stands at 22 Nguyễn Đình Chiểu, across the Cái river, over three kilometres north of the centre. Mornings or afternoons, five days a week, for four to eight weeks means making that trip many times — and the city's bus network is down to two routes, neither of which goes there. Either live near the campus or budget for a motorbike by the month.
On the English side, the market here is a children's market rather than an adults' one. Anh ngữ Cầu Vồng — Rainbow in English — has two branches, 50 Lý Thánh Tôn and 20 Cổ Loa, and describes itself as a children's English centre. GEE English at 644 đường 2 Tháng 4 opens 08:00–20:00, seven days, the shape of after-school classes. An adult wanting IELTS practice will still be taken, but it is not what they are built for.
All three of Vietnam's big English chains are here, which is not a given for a city this size: Apollo at 44 Lê Thành Phương, with VUS and ILA also running centres in town. Only Apollo's Nha Trang address could be read off the chain's own list of centres — VUS's page returns 404 and ILA's returns 403 — so the other two get no card below. Directories place ILA on level 4 of A&B Central Square, 44 Trần Phú, right on the hotel strip; if that is right it is the English centre nearest the visitor area, but I could not confirm it.
Two names the older lists repeat I could not confirm: the Bắc Âu centre leaves no trace beyond those lists, and IMEA on Hồng Bàng survives only on aggregators, with no working site of its own. Neither gets a card here. For a course lasting weeks and paid up front, going to look before paying is worth more than reading another list.

The campus address comes from OpenStreetMap. Note where it is: across the Cái river, over three kilometres north of the centre, with no bus route reaching it.

Anh ngữ Cầu Vồng (Rainbow) — 50 Lý Thánh Tôn

A children's English centre with two branches: 50 Lý Thánh Tôn in the city core and 20 Cổ Loa. Both addresses and the hotline come from the centre's own site, which is why it has a card here when two other names in the same category do not. Adults can ask, but the programme is built for children.

Apollo English Nha Trang

The one big international chain here whose own list of centres I could open and read a Nha Trang address from. Two other large chains are in the city — VUS and ILA — but both of their sites refuse access, so this page gives them no card. The chain's own page also gives two things most centres here do not publish: a hotline, 1900 292970, and opening hours of 09:00 to 21:30, Monday to Sunday. Lê Thành Phương also holds VUS and a bookshop, which makes it the street for studying.

ILA Nha Trang — tầng 4 A&B Central Square

The English centre nearest the visitor area, by a long way over anything else here. It is on level 4 of A&B Central Square, 44 Trần Phú — the same building this site's shopping-centre page already carries — so it stands on the hotel strip. ILA's own site refuses access, so this address rests on two independent sources saying the same thing rather than the centre's own word.

VUS — Anh văn Hội Việt Mỹ Nha Trang

Vietnam's largest English chain, and here it sits across the street from Apollo on Lê Thành Phương — number 55 against number 44. Two international chains opening opposite each other on a small street outside the visitor area says what their real market is: local schoolchildren rather than travellers. VUS's own site returns 404, so this address too rests on two independent sources agreeing.

Anh ngữ Ngân Hà — Galaxy

Two branches, and the centre's own site writes both with the new ward names: branch one at 21 Phan Chu Trinh, phường Nha Trang, branch two at 50 Phong Châu, phường Nam Nha Trang with its own line, 0945 158 000. The first is in the central streets, making it one of the few centres someone staying in town could walk to.

Embassy Language Nha Trang

A branch of a central-Vietnam chain — its own site lists seven branches, Nha Trang among them. The address, 29B Trịnh Phong, is in the city core. One oddity worth recording: the contact page carries seven different numbers all ending 111 820, one per branch, and the one here is the Nha Trang line.

The only one here that does not teach English alone: the course list on its own site includes Russian, beside IELTS, TOEIC and the VSTEP certificate. In a city where the Russian trade is large enough that a dental clinic signs itself in Russian and a money changer takes a Russian name, local people learning Russian for work is a real thing — and this is where I found it taught.

VAIC — Trung tâm Quốc tế Việt Mỹ

The local centre with the most branches: its own site lists three in Khánh Hoà — STH45.24 Thích Quảng Đức in the Hà Quang 2 development, 546 đường 2/4 in Vĩnh Phước, and 112 Lý Tự Trọng in Diên Khánh. A small thing worth recording: a directory puts the main branch in “KĐT Lê Hồng Phong II” while the centre's own site says “KĐT Hà Quang 2” — two different developments, and this page follows the centre.

Two branches, both in the north of the city: 4 Lý Phục Man and 148 Điện Biên Phủ, by the centre's own site. The addresses match a directory word for word, making this one of the few where two independent sources agree exactly. The site gives a second number as well, 0905 474 478.

On Yersin, the closest of the English group to the city core. Notable for how it writes its own address: the centre's own page title already uses “phường Tây Nha Trang”, the post-merger ward name from 1 July 2025, while most directories still print the old one. A business that updates its own administrative address is usually a business still running.

On Ngô Gia Tự in the central streets. This one advertises itself for people starting English again from nothing, meaning adult beginners — unusual in a market that is mostly children's classes. Address and hotline from the centre's own site, which also uses the new ward name.

GEE English — 644 đường 2 Tháng 4

On đường 2/4 to the north, the same axis as the university campus above. OpenStreetMap records 08:00–20:00, seven days — hours that mark it as an after-school centre rather than a full-time language school. No second source covers fees or programmes, so this page gives nothing beyond the address and the hours.

Addresses come from each shop's own Google Maps listing, and the Open map button opens that shop's pin rather than running a search. 18 shops on the site have no listing we could confirm, so they have no button: the address lookup returned a different business, and a button that points at the wrong place is worse than none. A Google score appears only when Maps carries both the score and the number of reviews — a bare average cannot be weighed, so this page leaves it out. Street-food stalls change hours and close without telling anyone; call ahead if you are travelling across town.
