Overview
"Đi nhậu" in Nha Trang is not a drinking session. It is a long shared meal. A group, plates in the middle of the table, beer, and hours from dusk into the small hours. Seafood leads, because this is a coastal city, but the list below also holds grill buffets, a duck specialist, and a craft brewery on the sand.
The most useful thing here is the geography: six of the thirteen sit on one northern stretch. Cù Huân at 46 and 52, Hà Ra at 96, Phạm Văn Đồng at 7, 8 and 9KA. Locals call it the bờ kè, the embankment, and they say "let's go to the bờ kè" rather than naming a shop. Going there and taking whichever place has a free table is the right move; this list is so you know which is which once you are standing on it.
The spread is wider than the phrase "cheap drinking spot" suggests. At the low end, seafood congee at 40,000₫ and draught beer at 7,500₫ a glass at Hồi Xưa. At the top, LIVIN Barbecue, where the six-person BBQ board is 2,500,000₫ and a T-bone is 1,900,000₫. Both are on one page because both are a group evening out, not because they cost the same.
Closing times swing hard and are worth checking first: Mr Mộc's buffet shuts at 22:00 while Gió Khuya runs to 4:30 in the morning. Four places here stay open past two, so if you are looking for food at midnight this page and the late-night page answer one question from two sides. One address the write-ups keep filing here is Nha Trang Xưa at Vĩnh Thái. It is not a drinking place but a rebuilt craft village that serves country food, and it has its own page under experiences.
Seafood with draught beer is one of five ways to drink in Nha Trang, and the other four have pages of their own: the snail places for small plates and a long evening, the grill houses for cooking at your own table or a buffet, countryside drinking houses for goat, young beef and beef hotpot on the city's edge, and the beer places when the drinking is the point. Where a glass runs from 14,000₫ of draught to a 100,000₫ craft pour.

4.3★ Google · 5,312 reviewsOpen 10:00 – 22:3040,000 – 290,000₫15 Tran Phu in Vinh Nguyen, open 10:00–22:30: the busiest place on this list, and busy for a reason: fresh seafood, generous plates, fair prices. Order the sweet snails in salted-egg sauce. One specific piece of advice: stick to the steamed and boiled dishes, because the heavily seasoned ones are weaker, skip the Thai-style steams. It gets busy enough for the food to slow down, but there are plenty of tables and plenty of staff.

4.7★ Google · 5,022 reviewsOpen 10:00 – 22:00169,000 – 309,000₫A grill-and-hotpot buffet with the charcoal set into the table. The board: 299,000–309,000₫ for an adult (two boards in this set give two figures, so read it as a range), 169,000₫ for a child between 1m1 and 1m4, free below 1m1. There is a two-person Grill & Chill combo at 499,000₫ with two soft drinks, and extra grill plates at a flat 79,000₫. The menu has a Russian edition. Not to be confused with Hải sản Mộc Quán at 74 Hồng Bàng. Different restaurants that share the word "Mộc".

4.3★ Google · 4,574 reviews70,000 – 380,000₫A craft brewery standing directly on Tran Phu beach. Tables on the sand, a pool, and beer brewed on site and poured from a tower. But to be plain: this is not a cheap place. The menu leans European. Pizza, pasta, burgers, sushi, steaks. Coffee is 70,000–95,000₫ and mains mostly 245,000–380,000₫. Open until 1am, the latest of the big restaurants here.

4.5★ Google · 3,427 reviewsOpen 10:30 – 22:00Not a seafood house but a Vietnamese restaurant down lane 83 Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai: timber pavilions, lanterns, a pond, and here because it does the same job: long tables, a group, a long sit, beer on the table. Its strength is the highland-pork dishes, 395,000–595,000₫ a platter for the table. Closes at 22:00. It has its own page.

4.6★ Google · 3,327 reviewsOpen 11:00 – 23:00200,000 – 2,500,000₫The dearest here, and not by a little. Smoked American barbecue: beef rib 800,000₫ at 600g, 1,200,000₫ at 800g; an Intro board for two at 550,000₫, a Smoked board for four at 1,200,000₫, and a Pitmaster board for six or more at 2,500,000₫. T-bone 1,900,000₫, ribeye 800,000₫, flank 450,000₫. Burgers at 190,000–330,000₫ are the cheap end. It is on the list because it is still a long table for a group, not because of the price.

Bờ Kè Quán — 52 Cù Huân
Open map →52 Cu Huan, north Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa
3.7★ Google · 655 reviewsOpen 16:00 – 23:0052 Cu Huan, open 16:00–23:00. Two floors, and the upper one looks out where the river meets the sea. The best outlook of the embankment group. You pick the seafood live at the tank, the pieces run large, and the prawns and squid are what it sells most; it prices a little above some neighbours but the size makes up for it. Car parking right outside. For a group of six or eight this is the best of the strip.

Open map →46 Cu Huan, north Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa
4.5★ Google · 523 reviewsOpen 15:00 – 23:3046 Cu Huan, open 15:00–23:30. The latest on the embankment. The roof terrace looks across at the Tran Phu bridge, which is the reason to go up. The seafood is fresh and large, the food comes quickly, and the owner's good humour makes group nights easy. The seasoning is uneven, though: one table had over-salted blood cockles and an under-salted hotpot in the same meal. Simple orders are the safer bet.

Quán Hải Sản Út Mập
Open map →Bo ke, 96 Ha Ra, Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa
4.2★ Google · 486 reviewsOn the embankment at 96 Ha Ra. This is a local drinking-and-seafood place rather than one set up for visitors, and the menu says so: sea-urchin curry and squid bathed in first-press fish sauce are the two to try, neither of them things you find on the main-road places. Upstairs looks out over the river, with a breeze. Warm staff, and prices that match the quantity and the quality.

4.2★ Google · 484 reviewsOpen 10:00 – 22:00A countryside kitchen in Vĩnh Ngọc, 5 km northwest of the centre. The furthest on this list and the least touristed: no English menu, and the customers are local family groups. Charcoal hotpot, grilled fish, sour soup with foraged herbs, papaya salad. You need a vehicle, and its Maps address is a plus code, so follow the pin. It has its own page.

4.4★ Google · 454 reviewsOpen 15:00 – 23:309KA Pham Van Dong, open 15:00–23:30, with a view of the sea and the street. Fresh seafood, fair prices, quick staff and well-cleared tables. Service is uneven, though: one table had dishes arrive with no bowls, no spoons and no dipping sauce. Five in the afternoon is the quiet, easier hour.

Quán Bờ Biển
Open map →8 Pham Van Dong, north Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa
4.5★ Google · 365 reviewsOpen 15:00 – 23:008 Pham Van Dong, open 15:00–23:00. The seafood is taken from the tank when you arrive, and freshness is its strongest point. The prawns and clams especially, and the salt-fried or garlic-butter lobster is the order if you want a proper meal of it. A sea view, an airy room, and food that comes fast even when full. Not cheap, but not unreasonably dear. Book ahead in the evening.

4.8★ Google · 348 reviews20,000 – 160,000₫32 Tran Nhat Duat, Phuoc Hoa. Fitted out in an older style, from the bowls to the chairs, and that is what sets it apart here. This is not an embankment seafood house but a place to settle in over the weekend. Airy and cool, with clean toilets, easy staff and fair prices. The food is well judged rather than showy.

4.2★ Google · 218 reviewsThe only place here that does not lead with seafood: it specialises in ngan: Muscovy duck, cooked giả cầy, a northern dish. Worth it if the group has eaten seafood three nights running and wants something else. Closes at 2am.

Quán nhậu Gió Khuya
Open map →7 Pham Van Dong, north Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa
4.5★ Google · 137 reviewsThe latest closing across both this page and the late-night one: 4:30am. The name. "late-night wind". Says what it does. It stands at the head of the Phạm Văn Đồng end of the embankment, beside Quán Bờ Biển at 8 and Thanh Hiền at 9KA. Three in a row, so go and take whichever has a table.

Quán nhậu 24 giờ
Open map →5 Doan Tran Nghiep, north Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa
3.9★ Google · 124 reviews5 Doan Tran Nghiep. A large room with several kinds of seating, fine for a group or for two, and the food comes fast even when it is full. The Thai-style steamed clams are its best seller. Freshness is uneven, though: the prawns can be soft, so choose from the tank and ask before you order. The seasoning runs sweet for southern tastes.

Addresses come from each shop's own Google Maps listing, and the Open map button opens that shop's pin rather than running a search. 18 shops on the site have no listing we could confirm, so they have no button: the address lookup returned a different business, and a button that points at the wrong place is worse than none. A Google score appears only when Maps carries both the score and the number of reviews — a bare average cannot be weighed, so this page leaves it out. Street-food stalls change hours and close without telling anyone; call ahead if you are travelling across town.
What to order
- Six places on one northern embankment, Cù Huân, Hà Ra, Phạm Văn Đồng
- Grill buffets at 280,000–309,000₫, draught beer from 7,500₫ a glass
- Four keep going past 2am
- A beachfront craft brewery and American BBQ among them
Practical tips
- Go to the bờ kè and take whichever place has a table. That is what locals do
- Seafood is by the kilo and the board changes daily; ask the price before you nod
- From four people up, a buffet works out cheaper than ordering à la carte
