Overview

Nha Trang has two intercity coach stations, and the southern one is no longer in the city. Since 1 April 2024 it has been out on Đại lộ Võ Nguyên Giáp, thôn Trung Nam, xã Diên Khánh — about 11 km west of the centre. The old site at km 6, đường 23 Tháng 10 stopped taking passengers the same day. The provincial paper reported both halves: the new one opening, the old one closing.

The part worth knowing is that Maps has not caught up. Search for the southern station today and you still get a pin inside the city, on the old site. Someone holding a ticket, following Maps into a taxi, arrives at a station that takes no passengers and is still 11 km from the real one. If you are coming up from the south — Saigon, Phan Thiết, Đà Lạt — check the address on your ticket before you get in a taxi, and if it only says "southern station", ring the operator.

The northern station has not moved: 1 Điện Biên Phủ, north of the centre, and this is the one for coaches to Tuy Hoà, Quy Nhơn, Quảng Nam, Đà Nẵng and the provinces north of here. It is inside the city, so getting to it is easy. Both stations are run by the same company, Khánh Hoà's coach-station and transport operator; its own website lists (0258) 3913868, which is the company's number rather than either station's.

If you would rather not go out to a station to buy a ticket, there is a Phương Trang ticket office at 176 Trần Quý Cáp in town, open 06:00–18:00. Buy there and ask which station your coach leaves from — that is the single most useful question on this page. Getting to the southern station, though, means no bus: the two VinBus routes running are 23 along the seafront and 16-2 to the airport, and neither goes to Diên Khánh. Take a taxi or a ride-hailing car, and allow time for 11 km of out-of-town road.

The address here follows the operator's own website, which writes "xã Diên Khánh"; Maps still carries the older "xã Diên Toàn, huyện Diên Khánh".

A ticket office in town, so you can buy without a trip out to a station the day before. The frontage carries the Phương Trang board and a glazed "PHÒNG VÉ" window, easy to spot. Ask which station your coach leaves from — Phương Trang runs both north and south, and the two directions leave from different stations.
