Overview

The word "karaoke" covers two different things in Nha Trang, and knowing which one you want saves an evening. One is a room by the hour: you arrive as a group, take a room, order drinks if you like, and the doors open in the morning or at midday: MUSIC BOX at 01 Tran Hung Dao opens at 9:00 and closes at 22:00. The other is a karaoke bar or lounge: drinks first, singing alongside, opening in the evening and running very late: ONEMORE at 36 Biet Thu until 5am. The list below says which each one is.

Plainly: in Nha Trang as in plenty of places, some venues with a karaoke sign sell something else. This page only lists places with a room rate by the hour, a clear drinks menu, rooms you can see before you book, and mostly daytime opening hours. Four things worth looking at: a reception desk and a posted room rate; rooms with a glass door or a door that does not lock shut; staff in uniform; and prices written by the hour rather than "negotiable". If there is no board outside, if the place only opens late in the evening, or if someone is outside inviting you in, keep walking. That place is not bad. It is just not the one you want.

Room rates here span roughly eightfold, and both ends come off the venue's own rate board or an itemised bill. The cheapest is MUSIC BOX at about 100,000₫ an hour for a room of one to six, also sold in ten-minute blocks. The dearest is Angel at about 770,000₫ an hour for a large room of eight, before a service charge. OZone and Lasan Hill sit between the two. Three things follow: rooms are charged by the minute rather than rounded up, after 17:00 costs more than the afternoon, and drinks are billed separately. Treat all of it as indicative. One word covering an eightfold spread is exactly why asking the room rate before you sit down is not optional.

One easy mix-up: two different addresses both call themselves Music Box. MUSIC BOX is on the 6th floor of GoldCoast Mall at 01 Tran Hung Dao: self-service booths charged in ten-minute blocks, a corridor of claw machines, and children among the customers. OZone Music Box is at 152 Nguyen Trai, more than a kilometre away, also a karaoke box but charged per box and open until 1am. Check which pin you are tapping.

On location the fifteen split cleanly in two. In or beside the backpacker quarter: ONEMORE on Biệt Thự, PICKER on Hồng Bàng, Sonata and Sweet also on Hồng Bàng: numbers 50 and 52A, next door to each other, Kingdom KTV and Angel on Lê Đại Hành, Crown on Vân Đồn. Further out, vehicle required: Avatar 5.4 km and XV Bốn Mùa 5.1 km to the north, Hoàng Yến 4.2 km west in Vĩnh Điềm Trung, Lasan Hill in north Nha Trang, Karaoke Sky in the VCN district to the south, Dubai Club on Hoàng Diệu. The outlying ones tend to be larger KTV rooms for local groups; the ones in the quarter are smaller and lean towards drinks.

Book ahead at the weekend. The large rooms go first, and at the bar-leaning places like ONEMORE or PICKER there is next to nothing free after 22:00. On a weekday afternoon you can walk in, and that is also the cheapest slot.

    Not a KTV but a self-service booth, on the 6th floor of GoldCoast Mall at 01 Tran Hung Dao. The corridor in is lined with claw machines, and the board at the counter states the rate for a room of one to six: 20,000₫ for 10 minutes, 50,000₫ for 30, 100,000₫ for an hour. Open 9:00–22:00, daytime hours, and there are children on the beanbags. It is the most transparent place here: the rate is on the counter, the rooms have glass doors, and nobody stands outside inviting you in.

It is also the one venue whose real rate is known: a bill from April 2025 states 240,000₫ an hour, charged by the minute: 2 hours 26 minutes came to 584,000₫, and the whole evening for the group to 1,065,000₫. Maps lists it as open around the clock; from the quarter you will need a vehicle.

Addresses come from each shop's own Google Maps listing, and the Open map button opens that shop's pin rather than running a search. 18 shops on the site have no listing we could confirm, so they have no button: the address lookup returned a different business, and a button that points at the wrong place is worse than none. Street-food stalls change hours and close without telling anyone; call ahead if you are travelling across town.
